Kubernetes and platform engineering consulting for teams in the DACH region

I'm Hagen Leitner, and I've been running Kubernetes in production since 2021. I review and build Kubernetes platforms together with your team, and help you bring coding agents into development safely. You talk directly to the engineer doing the work.

When teams bring me in

Usually the platform works. It has just become more expensive and more fragile than it needs to be.

Services

Platform review

The usual starting point. I look at your clusters, infrastructure code, pipelines and monitoring, and deliver a written report with prioritized findings and a roadmap. Scope and fixed price are agreed up front.

Review details

Kubernetes and platform engineering

Hands-on work with your team: setting up or migrating clusters, upgrades, infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and observability with Prometheus and Grafana. The goal is a platform your developers can deploy to without opening a ticket.

Safe agentic coding

Many developers already work with coding agents from the major AI providers. I help you put clear rules and technical guardrails around them: what permissions an agent gets, how secrets and customer data stay protected, which isolated environment it runs in, and how generated code gets reviewed before it reaches production.

Ongoing support

As an interim platform engineer, for example until a position is filled, or with a fixed monthly block of hours for upgrades, reviews and questions from the team.

The platform review in detail

After the review you know where your platform stands and where to start. You can implement it with your own team or with me.

What I look at

Clusters
Versions, upgrade path, deprecated APIs, requests and limits, node utilization
Security
RBAC, secrets handling, network policies, image provenance
Delivery
Build and deploy pipelines, rollbacks, who approves what
Operations
Monitoring, alerting, backups, and whether a restore has ever been tested
Infrastructure code
What lives in code and what was once clicked together in a console
Cost
Which workloads consume what, and where capacity is overprovisioned

What you get

  • A written report in German or English
  • Every finding with risk, estimated effort and a concrete recommendation
  • A roadmap for the coming months
  • A closing session with your team

For the review I need read access to clusters, repositories and monitoring. No write permissions required.

How it works

  1. Intro call

30 minutes over video, no obligation. You describe the situation and I tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it.

  2. Proposal

A written proposal with a fixed scope and a fixed price. We pick the dates together.

  3. Review

Analysis with read access, plus short conversations with the people who use the platform every day.

  4. Report and walkthrough

We go through the findings and the roadmap together with your team.

  5. Implementation, if you want it

Targeted fixes or ongoing support. The report is written so your team can act on it without me.

About me

I hold a Master of Science in Computer Science from TU Graz and have worked as a DevOps and platform engineer since 2021. I've run Kubernetes on AWS (EKS), GCP, Azure (AKS) and OpenShift, and built environments with Terraform and Ansible. Along the way came CI/CD pipelines that needed to become reliable.

Most recently I built a bare-metal Kubernetes cluster from scratch that ran open-source models in-house for production use. I work extensively with coding agents myself, and I know where they save time as well as where they create risk.

Arcadia Systems is a one-person company. From the intro call to the implementation, you work with me.
